Frank Hermansen (NO) Thank you for the invitation! I started my journey with retrievers in 1990 when I bought a Flatcoated Retriever named NJCH Berena’s Dirty Dancer. Throughout the years, I have trained multiple dogs and competed in cold game tests, Working Tests, and Field Trials both in Norway and internationally. About 15 years ago, I also began working with Labradors and now co-own two German-bred yellow girls. One of them, NJCH NORDRTCH23 Gunsight’s Firecrest, has achieved the most success so far, winning the Nordic Field Trial Championship 2023 and the Italian Field Trial Championship. She was also the runner-up at the 2013 Swedish Championship and earned 4th place and Gun’s Choice at the European Retriever Championships 2023. With her three CACITs and show qualification, I am currently waiting for FCI to confirm her title, which would make her the first Norwegian retriever to earn the International Field Trial Champion title. I have had the honor of representing Norway on multiple occasions at prestigious events such as the Coupe d’Europe, the Skinners World Cup in the UK, and the International Working Test (IWT). In 1999, I became a National WT and cold game test judge, and shortly after, an international FCI judge. In 2018, I successfully completed the Kennel Club’s J Regulation training program. I have served as a judge for Field Trials and Working Test events, including multiple championships held in the Nordic countries and throughout Europe. Notably, I had the opportunity to judge the Coupe d’Europe 2015 in Sweden and the IWT 2019 in the Netherlands. I would like to extend my best wishes to all the competitors in the upcoming competition. Best regards, |
